Graveside services for Ben L. Greene, 87, of Euclid, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, at Knollwood Cemetery, 1678 SOM Center Road, in Mayfield Heights. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the main gate.)
Mr. Greene passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, at his residence.
Born Jan. 30, 1933, in Stony Fork, N.C., he had been a resident of Euclid for more than 53 years.
Ben was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a former member of Future Farmers of America, and loved working on cars.
Mr. Greene had worked at T.R.W., and the Van Dorn Company.
He was the loving father of Steven B. (Helen) Greene, Susan E. (Greg) Griesmer and Jennifer L. Gallion; cherished grandfather of Crystal, Melissa, Joseph, Breanna, Mackenzie, Taylor, Zachary and Matthew; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Ben was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne C. (nee Smalling) Greene in 2017; parents, Andrew and Eliza (nee Greene) Greene; and siblings, Creola Greene, Vernita Greene, Velma Lea Greene, William H. “Hooper” Greene, and Earl Grey (Ada Marie) Greene.
