Obituary for Barbara Dawn Hackett
Barbara Dawn Hackett, 63, of Wickliffe, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Jan. 20, 1959, in Garfield Heights, she grew up in Bedford, and lived in Akron before moving to Lake County five years ago, to live with her daughter and help raise her grandchildren.
Family and her grandchildren were so important to Barbara. She loved cleaning and decorating, and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
Barbara was the loving mother of Grace M (Andrew) Hackett-Pringle; cherished grandmother of Emeri, Lilah, Brooklyn, Lincoln and Paisley; sister of Thomas R. (Kristi) Hackett, Deborah S. (Jeffrey) Wells, Terrence J. Hackett, Bonnie J. Hackett, James A. (Bernadette) Hackett and William D. (Kim) Hackett; and the loving aunt and great-aunt of Michael, Jeremy, Heather, Chris, Tiffany, Terrence, David, Kelsey, Timothy, Lauren, Marissa, Erica, John, Avery, Gabrielle, Delaney, Decklyn, Millie, Charleston, Pernilla, Lennon and Hans. She also leaves her former husband and loving friend, Thomas Minute; and stepdaughter, Kristin Minute.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Mildred L. (nee Wimer) Hackett; brother, Timothy H. (Claudia, dec.) Hackett; and nieces, Elizabeth and Christi.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
