Obituary for Ashley Marie Westbrook
Ashley M. Westbrook, 24, of Mentor, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020.
She was born Aug. 5, 1996, in Cleveland, and had been a resident of Lake County for 14 years.
Ashley loved music, camping, the outdoors, butterflies, flowers and nature. She loved to swim and was on a swim team when she was younger. Even as a small child, Ashley loved to play in the pool, frequently not wanting to get out of the water. This earned her the nickname of "Splash" or "Spashley.” She had a beautiful singing voice, was the life of the party and was so kind and sweet. Ashley was always looking for the beauty in everything.
She was the beloved daughter of Brian W. (Jocelyn) Westbrook and Heather A. Cooper; loving sister of Autumn R. Westbrook and Benjamin D. Westbrook; cherished granddaughter of Richard and Mary Wright, Daniel and Betty Westbrook and Patricia Reed; niece of Nicole Westbrook and Doug Anderson; and the dear cousin and friend of many.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a Celebration of Life at 5 :30 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made in care of the family.
