Obituary for Arlene Patricia Rossa
Funeral Mass for Arlene Patricia Rossa, 83, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Arlene passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Born June 26, 1939, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 50 years.
She was a graduate of Collinwood High School and went on to take courses to prepare for a position as office assistant. Arlene had worked at Lindsey Chemical in East Cleveland and later at Caterpillar in Mentor until its closing. After that, she worked as a bookkeeper at St. Justin Martyr Church in Eastlake.
Arlene was an accomplished skier, golfer and bowler in her youth and was a lifelong Indians and Browns fan. Her primary interest throughout her life was her love of travel.
Survivors include her dear friend, Darlene Royer and her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family, who all considered Arlene their family; and cousins, Connie (Rick) Lewis, Peter (Susan) Janes, Carole (Thom) Martin, Sharon (Jeffery) Senney, and Tom (Diane) Janes.
Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved friend, Ritz Zehe; mother and stepfather, Alice and Gene Haydu.
Burial will follow the Mass at Mentor Cemetery.
