Anthony Charles Catanese, 82, of Mentor, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Dec. 30, 1939, in Cleveland, he had lived in Bedford Heights before moving to Lake County 37 years ago.
Anthony was a U.S. Army National Guard and enjoyed mall walking, car shows and hunting.
Mr. Catanese had worked at Stouffers, MetroHealth Hospital and MedNet.
Anthony was the beloved husband of Mardette (nee Smith) Catanese; loving father of Anthony (Kelly) Catanese and Perry (Angelique) Catanese; cherished grandfather Anthony Jr., Brandy, Jessica, Perry and Samantha; and dear brother of Josephine Calio, Carmella Toncar and Atillio (Barbara).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominico and Mary (nee Gracco) Catanese; and brother, Dominic.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a service to take place at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery.
