Obituary for Alan G Kelly

Alan G. Kelly, 61, of Painesville, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021, at Cardinal Woods Nursing Facility in Madison.
He was born Sept. 12, 1959, in Hastings, Pa.
Alan had a great spirit, was very compassionate and loving. Al took great pleasure in making people laugh. He loved to tell stories, usually with a funny twist. Alan loved the outdoors, was an avid bird watcher and a skilled wood carver. He enjoyed history, antiques, and spending time with his father on genealogy, tracing the family’s roots back to the Civil War. He was also a big Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed going to Indians, Cavs, and Browns games with his son Brett.
Alan received an Associate’s Degree from Cleveland Institute of Electronics. He worked for Hill-Rom for over 30 years, servicing medical equipment at The Cleveland Clinic.
Alan was the loving father of Brett Kelly; brother of Dan Kelly and Ken (Angelica) Kelly; uncle of Eric Kelly, Hannah Kelly and Emma Kelly; and dear friend of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Patrick and Elizabeth Anne (nee Dorko) Kelly.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 4:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. (Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery main gate.)
