William Majetich Sr., age 96, of Newbury, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 20, 2023.
Born May 16, 1927, in Natrona Heights, Penn., he grew up there and was married to Mary Lucovich for the next 69 years!
William was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and in 1964 the family moved from Natrona Heights, Penn., to their new home in Newbury, and
attended St. Helen’s Church. William enjoyed gardening, woodworking and riding his lawn tractor. He also enjoyed going to polka dances with his wife, Mary and friends.
William is survived by his children, Barbara (Robert) Strader of Siesta Key, Fla., William (Kelly) Majetich Jr. of Chardon, and Jean (Tony) Quinn of Mentor; grandchildren, Bradley, Michael, Kevin and Keith; and great-grandchildren, Jake, Ben, Megan, Emma, Harrison and Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, Joseph and
Catherine; and siblings, Dan, Frank, George, Jerry, Vic, Ed, Emma and
Catherine.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Helen’s Church.
