Obituary for William J "Bill" Lacinak

Funeral Mass for William J. “Bill” Lacinak, 80, of Willoughby, will be 10 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Father Dennis McNeil will officiate.
Bill passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Jan. 14, 1941, in Cleveland, he had resided in Euclid before moving to Lake County 44 years ago, living in Willowick and Willoughby.
Bill was a loving family man above anything else, and all that knew and loved him felt his kind and gentle spirit. He had a brilliant mind and a love for reading. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and Willowick Knights of Columbus Council 4498 3rd Degree. He also loved golf and bowling, was an avid Cleveland sports fan, and had a special love for the Browns.
Mr. Lacinak was an engineer, who worked at Cleveland Diamond Alkali (Shamrock), Ricerca, and retired from R.T. Patterson in Cleveland.
Bill was the beloved husband of 58 years to Karen L. (nee Wilson) Lacinak; loving father of Janice M. (Gary W.) Johnson, Stephen W. (Kelly M.) Lacinak and Jennifer A. (Lawayne M.) Bontrager; cherished grandfather of Gary, Marcus, Riley, Stevie and Maxx; great-grandfather of Alex, Peyton, Avery and Cameron; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Karen Lee Lacinak; parents, Emil W. and Margaret (nee Varga) Lacinak; and sister, Dorothy (Howard, dec.) Youngblood.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
