Obituary for Vickie L Stacy

Vickie L. (nee Clark) Stacy, 74, of Willoughby, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at UH Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
Born Jan. 24, 1950, in New Albany, Ind., she had been a resident of Lake County for 34 years.
Vickie has a great sense of humor and a unique ability to thrive at anything she put her mind to. Teaching, real estate, calligraphy, chair restoration and crafts were all prime examples. She was also extremely empathetic and cared greatly for her people and was very proud of her family.
She was a teacher and has taught in Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin. Vickie had taught for 15 years at Lake Elementary School in Mentor and at the University of Wisconsin Madison and St. Mary’s College. She had also been the secretary for Delta Kappa Gamma.
Vickie was the beloved wife of William R. Stacy of Willoughby; loving mother of Jeffrey W. (Amy) Stacy of Independence; cherished grandmother of Sophia and Stella Stacy; dear sister of Sharon Barron and Pam Cooper; and adored aunt of Alicia Barron, Jill Bryson and Beth Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Pauline (nee Stephens) Clark; sister, Jean Bryson; and nephews, Scott Barron and Steve Bryson.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2024 at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 7:30 p.m.
