Obituary for Tony Lamenta

Tony Lamenta, 89, of Willoughby, passed away April 8, 2024, at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland.
Born Feb. 23, 1935, in Campodipietra, Province of Campobasso, Italy, he lived in Lake County for 55 years.
Tony was a tailor at Diamond Mens Store, Ticknors and Sears Roebuck, where he worked for more than 20 years. He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who found pure joy in family, friends and service.
Tony was the beloved husband of Lucia (nee Pistillo) Lamenta; loving father of Mike (Melissa) Lamenta, Mary Lou Koch, Debbie (Ken) Regenor, and Nancy (Mariano) Benitez; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Lindsey) Koch, Nick Koch, Grace Regenor, Max Regenor, Mia Benitez, Luca Benitez and Michael Lamenta; great-grandfather of Hayden Koch and Gavin Koch; and brother of Donata (Frank) Lamenta.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe and Maria (nee Basile) Lamenta.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby with a Celebration of Life service at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at Willoughby Cemetery at a later date.
