Obituary for Thomas C Mako

Thomas C. Mako, 55, of Willoughby, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Born Oct. 25, 1967, in Willoughby, he loved Willoughby and had been a resident for 40 years.
Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran, enjoyed golfing, fishing, baseball, boating, and was known for giving his son, Zack a run for his money on the basketball court. He was a top salesman, earning many President Club trips and a Lifetime Sales Award of which he was very proud.
He was the fiancé of Susan M. Davis; loving father of Zack L. Mako; cherished brother of Gail Golga, Karen (Jeffrey) Borsz, David (Helen) Mako, Janet (David) McFadden, Robert (Julie) Mako and Christine (Michael) Monty; brother-in-law of Karlene Mako; and was known as “G.U.T.” (Great Uncle Tom) to his many adoring nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Emery R. and Eileen (nee Palmer) Mako; brothers, Ronald Mako and Kenneth Mako; and brother-in-law, George Golga.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 7:30 p.m.
