Obituary for Theresa Clarke
Funeral Mass for Theresa (nee Logar) Clarke, 86, of Mentor, will be 12 noon Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. (*Please meet at church.)
Theresa passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
She was born Nov. 26, 1937.
She was a former member of St. William Parish in Euclid, and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption in Mentor. Her passion was her family and she loved them all dearly. Theresa had worked at Parker-Hannifin in Cleveland and Mayfield Heights after she had raised her children.
Theresa was the loving mother of Mary (John) Ostberg, Tess Clarke (Bill Brock), Ann (Dan) King, Brian (Debbie) Clarke, Peggy Clarke, John P. Clarke, and Jeanne Clarke (Todd Clarke); cherished grandmother of Nicholas Ostberg, Lauren Ostberg, Dan Ostberg, Brendan King, Sean King, Megan Freshly, Matt Clarke, Monica Mulpur, Morgan Clarke, Liam Clarke and Emmet Clarke; great-grandmother of Clarke, Emerson, Emory, Gabriella, Kolton and McKenna; dear sister of John (Margaret) Logar and Sr. Mary Joanne, O.C.D.; sister-in-law of Shirley Logar and Kathleen Kolar; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Clarke; son, Patrick Clarke; parents, Joseph and Kathryn (nee Touschner) Logar; stepmother, Emily Logar; siblings, Donald Logar, Mary Steigerwald and Catherine Logar; and sister-in-law, Anna Clarke.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
