Obituary for Terry Stephen Seifried
Funeral Mass for Terry Stephen Seifried, 85, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Terry passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at his residence.
He was born May 29, 1937, in Cleveland.
Terry was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor and a U.S. Army National Guard veteran. He was a 1955 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, member of Heights High School Chorale group, loved Formula 1 car racing and had worked with the Cleveland Grand Prix group in Cleveland. Terry enjoyed sailing, traveling and cruises, going up to a family cottage in Marblehead, and family activities. He loved his grandchildren dearly and taught them all to swim.
He was so proud of his daughter, Karolin being a graduate of Cleveland State University Master’s program. Her Master’s degree was the first in the family.
Terry was the beloved husband of 59 years to Margo (nee Hetzer) Seifried; loving father of Stephen A. Seifried, Michael A. (Jenna) Seifried and Karolin Seifried; cherished grandfather of Camille, Annaliese, Emma Brooke, Sam, Sophia and Isobel; dear brother of Carol Seifried of North Olmsted; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marvel (nee Cupps) Seifried.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor.
Burial will be in Mentor Municipal Cemetery.
