Obituary for Steven P "Hoagy" Bost
Steven P. “Hoagy” Bost, 87, of Euclid, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, at UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born July 17, 1936, in Euclid, he had been a lifetime Euclid resident.
Steven was a gunsmith and a lifetime member of the N.R.A., and was also the holder of a lifetime CCW permit. He enjoyed fishing with his Dad, boating and feeding birds, and was an avid hunter.
Mr. Bost worked as a plumber for the City of Euclid, prior to his retirement.
He was the loving father of Steven C. (Tina) Bost, Patrick R. Bost, Jane F. Bost (James Boyd), and Charles E. Bost; cherished grandfather of Alec, Jared, Edward, Erik, Jessica (Travis), Emily and Hannah; great-grandfather of Lilly, Laila and Lavella; dear brother of Sally (Ralph) Cable; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Steven was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcia F. (nee Turk) Bost; parents, Dr. Charles E. and Carol G. (nee Porter) Bost; and brother, Charles P. Bost in 1952.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
