Obituary for Shirley Ann Pigza
Funeral Mass for Shirley Ann (nee Wilk) Pigza, 86, of Willoughby, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Shirley passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. Born Oct. 17, 1936, in Cambria County, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for more than 60 years, living in Willowick for 10 years before moving to Willoughby 50 years ago.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and volunteered at the Immaculate Conception Church. She was also a member of the Willoughby Senior Center and Browning Center. Shirley loved bowling and playing Bingo, enjoyed playing card games, working puzzles, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Shirley was the beloved wife of 60 years, Paul A. Pigza; loving mother of Michael John (Cassandra) Pigza and Mark Albert (Angie) Pigza; mother-in-law of Glenn Meyers; cherished grandmother of Chelsey, Paul, Christopher, Marissa, Stephen, Austin, Noah, Carli and Jenna; great-grandmother of Peyton, Paul, Brinley and Anthony; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Edward Pigza; daughter, Sherry Ann Meyers; parents, John and Mary Louise (nee Welsko) Wilk; and siblings, William, Francis, Thomas and Jack Wilk.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
