Funeral Mass for Sheila Ann (nee Lynch) Caine, 82, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Father Tom Johns will officiate. (Family and friends are asked to meet at church.)
Sheila passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at Danbury of Mentor Nursing Home. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to the staff at Danbury for the outstanding care given to their mother.
Born Dec. 13, 1940, in Cleveland, she had lived in Cleveland before moving to Lake County 53 years ago.
Sheila was a devoted parishioner of St. John Vianney, and had always been a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and feeding everyone and sitting in the sun.
She retired from Mentor Schools, and enjoyed spending time with the Retire Bee Club from Mentor Schools and her E. Jefferson Card Club group.
Sheila was the loving mother of Joseph (Julie) Caine of Painesville Township and Julie (Michael Jay) Molinyawe of Mentor-on-the-Lake; cherished grandmother of Katelynn and Mickayla Caine, Brayden and Bella Molinyawe; dear sister of Kevin (Judy) Lynch and Edward (Petra) Lynch; and the aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend of many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Caine; parents, Thomas and Jewell (nee McCormack) Lynch; and siblings, Patrick (Bonnie) Lynch and Thomas Lynch.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the church.
