Obituary for Sharon L Hensley
Sharon L. (nee Mozzocco) Hensley, 73, of Ashtabula, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born May 22, 1949, in Greenville, Pa., she had been a lifetime resident of Ashtabula.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Ashtabula and enjoyed cooking. Sharon loved spending time with her family and being with her grandchildren was very important to her. Sharon had a talent for making others laugh and feel at ease when she was around. Countless people called her “Mom” and “Aunt Sharon.”
Sharon had worked for the Y.M.C.A., Roses Deli and Hills Department Store where she made many lifelong friends.
She was the beloved wife of 48 years to Timothy D. Hensley; loving mother of Samantha N. (Grant) Walker; cherished grandmother of Clara and Lily; dear sister of Lauri (Anthony) Anderson, Larry Mozzocco, Bobby (Bonnie) Thompson, and Elizabeth Ates; sister-in-law of Debbe Vocca; and aunt of Caleb Mozzocco, Josh Mozzocco, Jodi Pasanen, Lucia Mozzocco, Lydia Mozzocco, Ally Pasanen, Delaney Pasanen and A.J. Pasanen, Cathy Kristiansen, Cherie Wiles, Corey Thompson, and CJ Thompson.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clara (nee Thompson) Mozzocco; and brother, John Vocca.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula. Burial will be private.
