Obituary for Sally Ann Harber

Sally Ann (nee Marcella) Harber, 76, of Mentor, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at her home.
Born Sept. 10, 1946, in Painesville, she had been a resident of Lake County for 76 years, living in Willoughby before moving to Mentor.
Sally was a founding member of the McKinley Community Outreach Center and was a 60-year member of Willoughby United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Harber had worked as secretary to the Mayor of Kirtland for 28 years and was Clerk of Council.
She was the beloved wife of 52 years to Douglas W. Harber; loving mother of Kelly Elizabeth Harber; dear sister of James (Rebecca) Marcella of Peterborough, N.H.; cherished grandmother of Shane Robert Snyder and Justin James Snyder, both of Mentor; and aunt of James Michael Marcella of Amherst, N.H., Amy Lynn (nee Marcella) Labarge of Harrisonburg, Va., Robin (nee Ernst) Mercer of Mentor and Harold Ernst of Mentor.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Corrine (nee Prescott) Marcella.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby. Rev. Kristen Patt will be the celebrant. Family will receive friends after the service for punch, coffee and cookies in the Fellowship Hall. Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Willoughby Cemetery, 4145 Madison Ave., Willoughby.
