Obituary for Ruth Anna Rendina

Ruth Anna (nee Williams) Rendina, 94, of Eastlake, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at her residence.
Born Dec. 9, 1928, in Clay, Ky., she had been a resident of Lake County for 67 years.
Ruth was a member of the Willoughby Eagles Aerie 2300 Auxiliary. Ruth didn't love to cook, but she'd be sure to buy 20 Wendy's cheeseburgers to drop off at the house while she ran errands to make sure we were fed. She wasn't quite the hugger, but she'd be there with that comforting piece of buttered wheat toast to fill our bellies. Don't forget the fig newtons! She drank coffee, but there was definitely always more cream than actual coffee. For many years, it was thought that grandma drank chocolate milk every morning. Not a "let's go on a shopping spree" kinda grandma, she she'd always sneak some shopping cash in the pocket before you left for the mall. Grandma didn't exactly want to chat the afternoon away, but didn't mind watching Judge Judy with some company. You stood strong when the rest were weak. You did things your way and we should all take some notes. Ruth Ann, you were one tough cookie!
She was the loving mother of Felix (Sandra) Rendina, Susan Simmons and Patty Bayes; cherished grandmother of Jerry, Ryan (Gina), Samantha (Kirk), Erin (Rob), Matt (Sarah), Heidi (Jason), Tony (Katie), Danica (Jeff), Steve (Emily), and Dave; great-grandmother of 23; sister of five sisters and five brothers; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her former daughters-in-law, Janet Borac and Cindy Guy.
Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony P. Rendina; sons, Paul Rendina and Perry Rendina; and parents, Edd and Lucy (nee Whitworth) Williams.
Private family services will be held.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
