Obituary for Rose Fatica

Funeral Mass for Rose Fatica, 89, of Willoughby, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Rose passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
She was born March 6, 1934, in Oratino, Province of Campobasso, Italy.
Rose was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, where she was active with the Parish Oktoberfest and other organizations. For many years, she was in charge of the Cavatelli Booth. She was also active at the Oratinese Ladies Club. She enjoyed gardening, baking and was known for her famous bread sticks and pizzelles.
She was the loving mother of Anita M. Distler, Nick J. (Jackie) Fatica, Larry (Sue) Fatica and Ronnie J. Fatica; mother-in-law of Elia Fatica; cherished grandmother of Ashley (Paul) Pierce, Rachael Distler, Lindsey Distler, Ryan Fatica (fiancée, Kristen Siebert), Andrea (Joe) Mikolajczyk, Christopher (Sarah) Fatica, Lauren (Jake) Nicholason, Erica Fatica (Will Kalout), and Marco Fatica; great-grandmother of Jasmine, Owen, Sofia, Adam, Ella, Andrew, Lizzie Beth, Lizzy Rose, Nate and Jacob; sister-in-law of Olga Fatica; and cousin of Columbia Ranally.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rinaldo “Ronnie” Fatica in 1994; son-in-law, Robert Distler; parents, Loreto and Anita (nee Fatica) Fatica; brothers-in-law, Silverino Fatica and Gianni Fatica; and cousin, Angela Grandillo.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at Willoughby Cemetery.
