Obituary for Roger T McAndrews
Roger T. McAndrews, 80, of Willoughby, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky.
He was born Dec. 24, 1941, in Cleveland.
Roger was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a nationally known award winning ceramic artist and was invited to make Christmas ornaments for President Clinton’s administration, one of only 54 from the entire country. Roger was also very instrumental in the organization of the Willoughby Arts Festival and Willoughby Car Show and an avid volunteer at the Willoughby Senior Center.
He was the dear brother of Marcia Elrick; a loving uncle; and good friend of Karen J. Warren and Bennett Fredericks.
Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linsey (nee Fredricks) McAndrews; parents, John and Marie (nee Murphey) McAndrews; brother, Jack McAndrews; and brother-in-law, Richard Elrick.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
