Obituary for Robert L Stegura
Robert L. Stegura, 83, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away peacefully Oct. 2, 2022.
Robert was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Uniontown, Pa., to Nicholas and Helen Stegura, one of four siblings and a resident of Mentor-on-the-Lake for 29 years.
Robert was a proud 7th degree blackbelt in Isshin-ryu Karate, was a huge animal lover, and enjoyed everything about cars, including going to car shows and reading car magazines.
As an adult, Robert went back to school to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist and thoroughly enjoyed his job. He retired from Hillcrest Hospital.
Robert was the beloved husband of 57 years to Betty A. (nee Lorman); loving father of Robert P. (Liz), Mark (Christy), and Victoria (Brent); beloved grandfather “Pappy” to Ciara, Eddie, Katie, Alexander, Hunter, and Gavin; and recently became a great-grandfather of two.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Body of Christ Community, 38057 Erie Rd., Willoughby, OH 44094.
