Obituary for Robert Leroy Sargent
Robert Leroy Sargent, 90, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at Brookdale of Wickliffe.
Born Sept. 18, 1930, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 21 years.
Robert was the beloved husband of Doris M. (nee Lockwood) Sargent; loving father of Robert (Eileen) Sargent, Bonnie (Rod) Emahiser and Terri Keller; stepfather of Karen (Tom) O’Neill, Kathy (Steve, dec.) Gorek, Gail (John) Sadler and Rick Aufmuth (Doug Wagner); cherished grandfather of four; great-grandfather of 10; stepgrandfather of seven; and stepgreat-grandfather of 11.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest H. and Emma C. (nee Barnoff) Sargent.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a service at 12:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Mentor Cemetery.
