Obituary for Robert W Heimberger

Robert W. Heimberger, 86, of Willowick, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at UH Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
Born Sept. 13, 1937, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 60 years.
Robert was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the NRA and American Legion, loved to go camping and had been a Boy Scout Leader in Willowick. He loved his wife and family dearly and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball and soccer. You could always find him in the stands cheering them on and getting ice cream with them. Trapshooting with the guys and dinner afterwards, as well as chats over breakfast and coffee with the guys were among his favorite past times.
Mr. Heimberger was a retired engineer from AT&T.
He was the loving father of Cherie (Dan) Rosenberger of Chardon, Jeff Heimberger of Willowick and Mike (Laura) Heimberger of Mentor; cherished grandfather of Ayden and Zach Heimberger; dear brother of Richard (Judy) Heimberger; brother-in-law of Robert (Mary) Agnew: and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (nee Agnew) Heimberger; and parents, Roger C. and Ruth (nee Dobson) Heimberger.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a Celebration of Life service including Military Honors at 6:30 p.m.
