Obituary for Rita J Woodrow
Funeral Mass for Rita J. (nee Byrnes) Woodrow, 86, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Rita passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at University Hospitals in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 5, 1935, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 60 years.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, and loved crocheting, crafts and sewing.
Rita was the loving mother of Deborah A. (Reza) Dawoodi, Gary M. Woodrow, Daniel J. (Charlene) Woodrow, Shari K. Woodrow, Kathleen T. (Randal) Lisk and James E. Woodrow; cherished grandmother of Maria C. Krukowski, Daniel J. (Jenni) Woodrow Jr., Sean (Maggie) Dawoodi, Syrus (Sonya) Dawoodi, Christian R. (Alexandra) Woodrow, Ricky W. Sadd, Robert W. Sadd, Alexander C. Lisk, Jacob A. Lisk and Kathleen T. Varro; great-grandmother of Kayla Krukowski, T.J. Krukowski, Nora Jo Dawoodi, Isla Jane Dawoodi and Sienna Mae Woodrow; dear sister of Margaret “Peggy” Ciborek; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert C. Woodrow in 1990; son, Robert C. Woodrow Jr.; daughter, Sandra M. Woodrow; parents, James B. and Anna M. (nee Crimmins) Byrnes; siblings, Mary T. (Elton, dec.) Mooney, Ann (Edward, dec.) O’Neill, Kathleen (Louis, dec.) Primozic and James J. (Mary Ann, dec.) Burns; and brother-in-law, Leonard Ciborek.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
