Obituary for Patricia "Pat" Bloom

Patricia “Pat” (nee Moore) Bloom, 68, a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Aug. 25, 2022, at The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus after a courageous 9-month battle with Covid-19.
Born Oct. 28, 1953, she was raised in Euclid and later moved to Mentor.
Pat was the most kind, caring and selfless person. She graduated from Euclid High School in 1971, and enjoyed attending monthly Class of ’71 Lady Panther luncheons. She loved spending time at her family cottage in Pymatuning, going to wineries, sewing (especially beautiful window treatments), cooking and dancing swing and hustle. She attended many dance events and cherished relationships with members of the dance community. Pat also cherished vacationing at the beach and Myrtle Beach was her favorite!
She was the beloved mother of Dawn Ann Bloom; great-aunt and guardian of Kalynn Sanders (Dawn and Kalynn were truly Pat’s two greatest joys); brother, Michael (Joyce) Moore; sisters, Cindyleigh Mocilnikar, Nancy (Jacob) Albanese and Charlene Sanders; aunt of several nieces and nephews; and a loyal friend to many.
Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Alvina R. Moore; and sister, Kathleen Zacharias.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a Celebration of Life at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name are suggested to Lifebanc, P.O. Box 933379, Cleveland, OH 44193 or online to the Salvation Army at www.salvationarmy.org.
