Obituary for Nancy V. Mozart
Funeral Mass for Nancy V. (nee Barber) Mozart, 85, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Fr. Marty Dober will officiate. (*Family and friends are asked to meet at the church.)
Nancy passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at her residence.
Born March 25, 1937, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County, living in Mentor for over 45 years and had previously resided in Euclid.
Nancy was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor and was active with the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Nancy was a teacher for many years having taught at Our Lady Star of the Sea School in Grosse Point, Mich. She was also with St. Stanislaus, St. Aloysius and St. Mary Magdalene for over 25 years. Nancy enjoyed reading and loved to pray.
Nancy was the loving stepmother of Melanie (Richard) Providente; cherished grandmother of Colleen; and dear sister of Doris Zacks.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John E. Mozart; parents, Albert and Virginia Barber; and brother-in-law, Richard Zacks.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass Thursday, March 23, 2023, at St. John Vianney Church. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
