Obituary for Miste Leigh Cook
Miste Leigh (nee Konkle) Cook, 63, of Willoughby, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Nov. 21, 1959, in Ravenna, she had lived in Kent before moving to Lake County 15 years ago.
Miste was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Willoughby Senior Center and Willoughby Osborne Park Pool. Miste loved gardening and had recently had the opportunity to go on a Caribbean cruise with her fiancé, Scott. She enjoyed reading, swimming, playing Yahtzee with family, computer games and helping wherever she could.
Miste was the beloved fiancé of Scott Kenneth Wells of Willoughby; cherished daughter of Richard and Dorothy (nee Horner) Konkle of Beverly Hills, Fla.; dear sister of Leslie (nee Konkle) Youngs of Streetsboro and Mitch Konkle (Diane Vaugh) of Milton, Ga.; stepmother of Ashley L. Wells-Tarasovich (husband, Josh) of Willowick, Scott L. Wells of Wickliffe and Jeremy R. Wells of Eastlake; “Mimi” to Emma, Sophie and Jace Tarasocvich; aunt of Kelsey (Mitch) Youngs, Landon and Hudson Moore, and Stephanie, Ashley and Mitchel Konkle; and best friend of Peggy Dawson of Willoughby.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wayne and Gertie Horner, Donald and Gladys Konkle.
