Obituary for Michael Paul Popovich

Michael Paul Popovich, 74, of Kirtland, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.
Born June 3, 1949, in Cleveland, he was a loving father, husband, and brother.
Michael was a hardworking man who served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from TRW, where he met many of his lifelong friends. Due to his need for camaraderie and love of golf, he also worked at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course following retirement. Known for his humor and sarcasm, he was always ready to share a laugh or two. Michael loved many hobbies during his life, including, fishing, hunting, bowling, and golf.
Michael leaves behind his beloved wife of 36 years, Denise (nee Parsons) Popovich; daughters, Kimberly Popovich and Allison Martin; son, Christopher Popovich; and brother, Steve Popovich. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, who he loved very much.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes “Sue” Popovich; father, George Popovich, and brother, George Popovich Jr.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time. Michael was a great man who will forever be missed. His life will continue to be celebrated by his loved ones, who will fondly remember his giving nature, hilarious sarcasm, and love for life. Michael's absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, with a Mass to follow at 11 a.m.
