Funeral Mass for Michael G. Brozina, 96, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2024, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Father Tom Elsasser will officiate.
Michael passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 7, 1927, in Cleveland.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor for 68 years, K.S.K.J., S.N.P.J. Lodge 5, and an avid member of the Mall Walkers. He loved to work with wood, making rocking horses, children’s toys, and beautiful furniture. Michael enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving during in World War II as a firefighter 1st Class.
Michael was the loving father of Susan M. (Patrick) McNamara, Margaret A. (Michael) Henk, Janice L. (Robert) Grieser, Michele F. (Michael) Robinson and Michael G. Brozina; cherished grandfather of 16; great-grandfather of 25; and dear brother of Louis Brozina.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy (nee Stefancic) Brozina; grandson, Matthew C. Henk; parents, Michael and Frances (nee Fabian) Brozina; sister-in-law, Nadja Brozina; and nephew, Mark Brozina.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at Mentor Cemetery.
