Obituary for Maxine E Austen

Maxine E. (Porter) Austen, 90, of Concord Township, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born March 9, 1932, in Gibsonia, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for 23 years.
Maxine was a member of First Baptist Church in Painesville and loved reading the Bible. Family and her grandchildren were very special to her and she loved being with them.
She was the loving mother of Dwight C. (Janet) Austen; cherished grandmother of Amanda (Todd) King, Jenny (Billy) Demand, Kenneth Austen and Samuel Austen; great-grandmother of Cooper, Harper, Skyler, Tyler, Camella, Raegan and Peyton; dear sister of Beverly Ogden and Donna Lee Soergel; sister-in-law of Phyllis Porter; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Austen Jr. in 1992; sons, David J. Austen and Kenneth C. Austen; parents, Dwight M. and Elizabeth (nee Lobaugh) Porter; brother, Robert Porter; and brothers-in-law, Will Ogden and Ray Soergel.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, April 4, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 12 noon. Matthew Soergel, great-nephew of Maxine will officiate. Burial will follow at Concord Township Cemetery.
