Obituary for Mary Anne Wiltrout

Funeral Mass with a Celebration of Life for Mary Anne (nee O’Brien) Wiltrout, 92, of Mentor, will be 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Father Tom Johns will officiate.
Mary passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at her residence.
Born Feb. 26, 1931, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for more than 70 years.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor, where she helped as an aide for PSR, and the Mentor Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Mary enjoyed playing cards with her friends and was an avid walker.
Mary worked as a secretary in the Mentor School System for 25 years at Memorial Junior High School prior to her retirement.
She was the cherished mother of Patricia J. Hosler (Tom Schock), Dennis W. (Kathy) Hosler, Nancy B. (Dave) Leonard, Robert J. (Rose) Hosler; stepmother of Kim (Tony) Newman, Karla (Greg) Swank and Richard (Deborah) Wiltrout; cherished “Nana” of Shane (Chrissy) Vermilye, Nicky (Nick) Sabitini, Adam (Soumya) Leonard, Kristie Leonard, Bobby Hosler, Brock Hosler, Brian (Angie) Newman, Britt (Stephen) Christopher, Calli Bergenstein, and Sonya Holbert; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, William Hosler and Harry Wiltrout; parents, Thomas and Irma (nee McAdam) O’Brien; and sister, Margaret (Bob, dec.) Longhurst.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, until the time of the Mass in the John Paul Room and Chapel at church. Private burial will be held at a later date.
