Obituary for Mary Elovich

Mary (nee Colarik) Elovich, 101, of Mentor, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, in Mentor.
Born Aug. 5, 1922, in W. Brownsville, Pa. (now Blainsburg), she moved to Ohio in 1963.
Mary enjoyed bowling in several area bowling alleys for many years, including Rich Lanes in Fairport Harbor. She had also been a volunteer at the Adoration Chapel at St. John Vianney Church on Sunday evenings from 9 to 10 p.m. for many years.
She had worked for Jay Mac Book Binding Company in Cleveland and Richmond Heights, Dodson Company in Cleveland, Material Stripping Swatch Binders, Sherwood Refractions in Cleveland in the Inspection Department of small molds, and became a homemaker in 1975.
Mary was the loving mother of Mary Ann Smith (John) Greskovich, Martin J. (Terri) Smith Jr., and Jim (Judy) Smith; cherished grandmother of Dr. John (Erin) Greskovich Jr., Barbi Greskovich, Christine Smith (Bill) Nolan, and Martin J. (Shannon) Smith III; great-grandmother of Mark Burich, Katy, Sarah, Gianda, Scharlotte and Emily Greskovich, Martin J. IV, Cody (Ericka) Smith, Mikayla and Bill (Bo) Nolan; great-great-grandchildren, Martin V, Wyatt, Addilynne and Syilias; aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Elovich; parents, John and Sophia (nee Babik) Colarik; and siblings, John, Andy, Mike, Frank, Paul, George, Joseph and Steve Colarik, and Helen Murray.
A graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory are suggested to St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, OH 44060.
