Obituary for Mary Ann Dormendo
Funeral Mass for Mary Ann (nee Pongonis) Dormendo, 92, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mary Ann passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Sept. 29, 1929, in Scranton, Pa., she had lived in Euclid and Columbus before moving back to Lake County.
She was the loving aunt of Patricia M. (Denis) Hite, Pamela A. Behnke, Bruce F. Burry, and Joseph (Pamela, dec.) Pongonis; great-aunt of Brian (Bridget) Ponn, Brenton (Victoria) Behnke, Sean Behnke, Amanda Burry (fiancé, Bryan Geary), and Christopher Behnke; and great-great-aunt of Indica Ponn, Trevor Ponn and Avalei Geary.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony J. Dormendo in 2009; and parents, Joseph and Phyllis (nee Bruzas) Pongonis.
