Obituary for Mark Bennett

Mark Bennett, 67, of Grand River, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Jan. 7, 1956, in Bay Village, he had lived in McMinnville, Tenn., and Northeast Ohio before moving to Grand River 10 years ago.
Mark was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era. He enjoyed photography, graphic design, being outdoors, fishing, and riding his motorcycle, loved wolves, festivals, live music and researching on Ancestry.com.
He had worked for more than 20 years as a welder for Arvin Meritor in Euclid prior to his retirement.
Mark was the dear brother of Patricia C. Yawn; cherished uncle of Kimmy (Mike), Tracy (Erika), Vicky, Karol (Matt), Christopher (Sheena), and Wesley; treasured great-uncle of Abigail, Joseph, Bennett, Richard, Matthew, Rachel, Luke, Syler, Addison and Hunter; cousin and friend of many who became like family. He also leaves his “best buddy” and feline companion, “Mooch.”
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rosemary (nee Mahoney) Bennett; father Frank (stepmother, Eileen, nee Huge) Bennett; and siblings, Francis M. Bennett and Michael J. (Sandy, dec.) Bennett.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
