Obituary for Lowell Russell Knowlton

Lowell Russell Knowlton, 79, of Concord Township, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at University Hospital of Cleveland, with his children by his side.
Born Jan. 1, 1942, in Mercer, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for more than 60 years.
Lowell was passionate about his career in the meat industry. He retired from Tops as the Director of Meat Operations in 2005 and to this day, Lowell continued to work in the meat department at Family Foods in Mentor. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking and sports.
He was the loving father of Lowell Kevin (Vicky) Knowlton and Lisa Renee Barth (Michael Pniewski); cherished grandfather of Devan Knowlton, Lindsey (Justin) Mixer, and Brielle Barth (John Eble); great-grandfather of Palmer Eble; brother of Carlton (Karen) Knowlton, Keith Knowlton, Marlene Eshbaugh, Dolores Stone and Carol (Larry) Paxton; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Helen (nee Whitman) Knowlton; and brother, David Knowlton.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
