Obituary for Lois Jean Crallie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Jean Crallie, age 82.
Lois passed away Feb. 16, 2024, in Cleveland.
Born in 1941 in Butler County, Ala., Lois lived a fulfilling life as a realtor, an entrepreneur and boutique proprietor, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Lois Jean enjoyed going on ocean cruises, playing along with her favorite game shows, traveling to family reunions in Kansas, reading nonfiction, and watching her beloved Cleveland Guardians. Most importantly Lois was known for providing her friends and family with wise words, loving deeds, and an irrepressible sense of humor and joy.
As a mother, Lois Jean was doubly blessed. She and her first husband, Bill, welcomed two daughters and a son. Later in life, she married Edgar Crallie, and was immediately gifted with twelve adult step-children, and with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her former husband, her three children, her niece, nine step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several cousins.
Lois Jean was preceded in death by her husband Edgar; parents, sister and three of her step-children.
Lois Jean's warmth, kindness, wit, humor and adventurous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a funeral service at 7 p.m.
