Obituary for Larry Keith Tremmel

Funeral services for Larry Keith Tremmel, 76, of Roaming Shores, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 125 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, OH 44047.
Larry passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Nov. 12, 1946, in Toledo, he had lived in Westville, Ind., before moving to Roaming Shores eight years ago.
Larry was a U.S. Army veteran, who fought in the Vietnam War and was proud to serve and honor his country. He was a Christian man, loving, kind and giving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Larry loved being outdoors riding his Harley, camping, riding his wave runner, and being Captain of his pontoon boat for all to enjoy. Larry was also a member of the motorcycle clubs: Heartland Christian Cruisers and Lake Michigan Star Riders. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Tremmel retired as a coal operator and lineman for NIPSCO.
Larry was the beloved husband of Betsy Jancigar; loving father of Jeff Tremmel of Malone, Fla., Donna Tremmel (Michael Ruesken), and Karen (John) Lindsey; stepfather of Justin Johnson, Nichole (Tad) Clark, and Michele Jancigar (Joe Beadnell); cherished grandfather of Haley Graziose, Kaylin Carullo, Jacob Lindsey, Cody Tremmel, Elizabeth Ruesken, Quinn Clark, Maddy Jancigar, Aidan Johnson and Paige Johnson; dear brother of Susan (Gerald) Bascuk, Margret Mercurio, Michael (Linda) Tremmel, Mary (Richard) Ender, Judith (Robert) Reiter, Elizabeth (Patrick) Desmond, and Keith (Julie) Tremmel Jr.
Burial will take place 12:45 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville. (Family and friends should meet at the main gate at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled burial time.)
