Obituary for Kathryn A Potts
Kathryn A. “Katie” (nee Oltmanns) Potts, 81, of Willoughby, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born May 28, 1942, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Willoughby for 40 years.
Katie taught second grade at Maple Dale and Lincoln Elementary Schools in the Wickliffe School System. She had been active with Meals on Wheels as a delivery driver and in the Queen of the Red Foxes Red Hat Group at the Willoughby Senior Center.
She is survived by her cousins and her dog, Zoe Potts.
Katie was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Roger Heaps; and parents, Howard and Ruth (nee Sargeant) Oltmanns.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Burial will be held at a later date.
