Obituary for Kathryn I "Kate" Connolly
Kathryn I. “Kate” Connolly, 79, of Eastlake, passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
She was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Cleveland.
Kate was a proud graduate of Collinwood High School. After obtaining her degree from Cuyahoga Community College, Kate moved to San Diego, Calif., and returned to Ohio after her retirement.
She was the loving mother of Amy Warix; cherished grandmother of Makayla Teague; and cousin of many. Kate also leaves her longtime friends, Miriam Ward and John Sager.
Kate was preceded in death by her parents, Norah A. (nee Groghan) Osten and Edward C. Connolly.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, 4800 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92102.
