Obituary for Karl Rossbach
Karl Rossbach, 72, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at University Hospital in Cleveland, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born Jan. 28, 1951, in Austria, he had been a resident of Lake County for 32 years, living in Willoughby and Eastlake before moving to Mentor-on-the-Lake.
Karl enjoyed breakfast, fishing, visiting casinos and animals, especially his cats, Ringo and Gracie. He also loved squirrels and birds.
He was the beloved husband of 24 years to Susan M. Bloom; brother of Robert (Dorothy) Rossbach and Monika Smart; brother-in-law of Tom Boggs; uncle of nieces and nephews; and best friend of Renee.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joanna (nee Wohlmuth) Rossbach; sister, Roberta Boggs; brother-in-law, Edward Smart; and in-laws, Raymond and Joy (nee Berton) Bloom.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20th, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
