Obituary for John B Tillinghast Jr.
John B. Tillinghast Jr., 75, of Euclid, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland.
He was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Cleveland.
John was a U.S. Army Airforce veteran, serving in the 76th Mobile Aerial Maps Division, a member of American Legion Post 678 in Willowick, and was an amateur radio operator. He also loved taking long car rides.
He was the loving father of Katy A. (George) Michaels and Craig A. Tillinghast (Ronna Woods); cherished grandfather of Emily M. Tillinghast and Tyler J. Kubina; great-grandfather of Iris Grace Webster and Ivy Moon Webster; dear brother of Jill Pultorak; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara A. (nee Lauer) Tillinghast; parents, John B. and Barbara (nee Church) Tillinghast; and brother-in-law, David Pultorak.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life at 4 p.m.
