John Edward Haluska, 77, of Willoughby, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born May 3, 1944, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 20 years.
John loved dancing, enjoyed singing, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and Willoughby Eagles Aerie 2300 in Willoughby.
John was the beloved husband of 16 years to Darlene M. (nee Wilson) Haluska; loving father of Katherine Haluska and Paul (Megan) Haluska; cherished grandfather of Alex Dailey, Bella, Maralyn, and Emma; stepfather of Danny (Dawn) LaRiccia Jr., Anthony (Teri) LaRiccia, Johnny (Wendy) McDonnell, Dominic LaRiccia and Joey (Annemarie) LaRiccia; stepfather-in-law of Audrey LaRiccia; grandfather of Dante (Aurora), Devon, Heather (Jeff), Anthony, Sebastian, Isabella, Megan (Daniel), David, Angela, Ryan, Patrick, Joey, Maria, Zoey and Rocco; great-grandfather of Gabriella, Arianna, Jacob, Bradley, Damien, Kaydence, Dane, Laryn and Giovanni; son-in-law of Mary A. Craig; brother of Mary C. Craig; and uncle of Timothy Craig.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Julia K. (nee Rura) Haluska; and siblings, Barbara A. Haluska and Rosemary Haluska; stepson, David Lariccia.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
