Jerry Palmisano, born Aug. 29, 1951, passed at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, surrounded by family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sue Stewart-Palmisano; two sons (from his former wife, Tricia Palmisano), Jerry (Darissa) and Steven (Emily); grandchildren, Mina, Cassie and Will; brothers, Joe (Claire) and David (Diane); and beloved nephews and nieces. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in English and Math, Jerry moved with Tricia and son, Jerry Jr., to Cleveland in October 1973. He was an expert in computer technology from the early 1970s into the 21st century with a career working for IBM and Key Bank. Cleveland was always Jerry's home as an adult, and it was in Cleveland he married his current wife, Sue in 1993. Together, they shared a passion for running, dance, the outdoors and travel, exploring across the U.S. and internationally in Africa, Central and South America and Europe. He had a remarkable mind and continually explored literature, music and theater through his love of reading and the performing arts
Jerry's selfless generosity and his unwavering commitment to always doing the right thing for his family, his friends and the people who shared his journey has always touched the hearts of those around him. He was a steadfast, powerful, positive man and will be deeply missed.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org.
