Obituary for Jenny Lynn Burnette

Funeral services for Jenny Lynn (nee Faehnrich) Burnette, 60, of Ashtabula, will be 12 p.m. Monday at Willoughby Hills Friends Church, 2846 SOM Center Road, Willoughby Hills.
Jenny passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at her home.
Born March 16, 1963, in Charleston, S.C., she grew up in Painesville and had lived in Ashtabula for the past 24 years.
She was a 1981 graduate of Painesville Harvey High School, a 1991 graduate of Lakeland Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree, and attended Lake Erie College from 1987 to 1993 as a communications major. Jenny was a former member of the Ashtabula County ADAMHS board, where she was responsible for the light at the Donahoe Center that helps a lot of people during peak traffic times and also worked as a volunteer assisting visitors at the Ashtabula Mall.
Jenny dearly loved her family, especially her Dad, John and Mom, June. Jenny was deeply loved by her family and spent considerable time with her Dad and Mom, sister, Ruth, and brother, Bill. They treasure the memories they have of her and their times together and will greatly miss her, but look forward to seeing her and her Dad again in Heaven worshiping at the feet of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her Dad’s favorite verse was Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
She frequently helped her 99 year old Mom by taking the ACTS van many times from her home in Ashtabula to Conneaut to visit her and do her laundry and light housekeeping. Jenny also selflessly tended to her Mom’s bathroom needs during times together. Jenny loved to cook and host holiday meals. Jenny loved making chili for her family and honored her Mom by following her recipe. Jenny enjoyed going out to eat with her family, including her Dad when he was alive, Mom, her sister, Ruth and her brother, Bill, especially to KFC, where her dad once ate 12 chicken legs from the buffet! She also loved her Grandma Anna Crafts very much and bought her beautiful headstone all by herself. She loved Minnie Mouse, cats, bananas, milk, ice cream, Diet Pepsi, fudge from Marianne’s Chocolates, and feeding the ducks and birds in Conneaut Harbor and at Ashtabula’s Lake Shore Park.
Jenny was the wife of Bruce A. Burnette; dear daughter of June Elizabeth (nee Bradley) Faehnrich of Wickliffe; cherished sister of David C. Faehnrich of Jacksonville, Fla., Diane J. Faehnrich of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Frederic A. Faehnrich of Las Vegas, Nev., Ruth Ann Faehnrich of Wickliffe, and William J. “Bill” Faehnrich of Wickliffe; niece of Jimmy and Shirley Kreko of Louisville, Ky., and Virginia Amitrano of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; and aunt of Dan Pizzi, Missy Mihalek, Jon King, Sam Faehnrich, Jonathan Faehnrich, Kristen Faehnrich, Kimberly Faehnrich, Bobby Henderson, Caralye Taoras, and Michael Faehnrich. “RIP Jenny, We LOVE you!”
She was preceded in death by her beloved Dad, John Toltin Faehnrich; and grandparents, Anna Crafts and Peter Toltin, Allyne Francis and Alice (nee Sexton) Bradley.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. A visitation will also take place from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at Willoughby Friends Church. Burial will be at Painesville Cemetery at a later date.
