Obituary for Jennifer Ann Fishwick Zbasnik
Mass of Christian Burial for Jennifer Ann (nee Fishwick) Zbasnik, 29, of Eastlake, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Jen went home to our Lord Feb. 4, 2024 after a courageous struggle with Ewing Sarcoma.
She was born June 8, 1994, in Mayfield Heights and grew up in Wickliffe.
Jen graduated from Wickliffe High School and earned a B.S. in education from Bowling Green State University.
Jen is survived by her husband, Joseph Zbasnik; parents, Michael and Wendy (nee Yanesh) Fishwick; brothers, Joseph and Jonathan Fishwick; mother-in-law Mary Zbasnik; Godfather and uncle, Mark Fishwick; Godmother and aunt, Christine Stobart; great-aunt, Michelle Tobin; dearest best friend, Desiree Dougherty; and many other friends and family.
Her family will welcome friends and relatives to share their love of Jen from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
She inspires countless pediatric oncology nurses and physicians with her humor and resilience. She wants us to thank all of the doctors, nurses and medical professionals of the Cleveland Clinic and especially Dr. Peter Anderson and his team who cared for her, treated her and supported her in her struggle.
