Obituary for James Patrick Young
James Patrick Young, 58, of Willoughby, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at UH Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
Born July 17, 1964, in Cleveland, he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Jim was a member of the Masons in Painesville, enjoyed football and outdoor activities and loved riding his motorcycle.
He was the beloved husband of 27 years to Diane R. (nee Smearman) Young; loving father of Nicole A. (Robert) Kutz of Willoughby; cherished grandfather of Lukkas, Cullen and Jensen; dear brother of Patrick (Tammy) Young, Daniel Young, Robert (Annette) Young, and Ann Marie (Andy) Wilson; stepson of Vickie Young and Roger Engle; stepbrother of Ken (Marji) Hartley, Chris (Megan) Hartley, and Jennifer Jares; uncle of many; and best buddy of Frank Luca.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Kathy (nee Tumbleson) Young; nephew, Anthony Meade; and aunt, Sue Ellen Tumbleson.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave. Willoughby, with a funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
