Obituary for J. H. Stephens
J.H. Stephens, 87, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at the Montefiore Nursing Facility in Beachwood.
He was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Newborn, Ga.
J.H. liked fishing and working on cars. He loved the Cleveland Browns and was the longtime successful owner of Steve’s Tire Service on Miles Road in Cleveland.
He was the loving father of Alfrieda (Dean) Harris, Janet (Jesse) Agee, Louis Stephens, Darrell Stephens, Antonio (Sonya) Lewis, LaTonya (Dario) Poe, Carlisa Stephens and Lanetta Stephens; cherished grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle of many; and the dear brother of George Stephens, Gloria Ann “Mott” Stephens and Jacqueline “Tiny” McCoy.
J.H. was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John and Marie (nee Jordan) Stephens; and siblings, J.C. Stephens, Frank Stephens, Johnny “Pee Wee” Stephens, Jesse Powell Stephens, Mary Ethel “Sister” Stephens, Elizabeth “Lil” Stephens and Jeanette Stephens.
Private services will be held.
