Obituary for Gwendolyn Lee Britton
Gwendolyn Lee (nee Palaima) Britton, 63, departed this life on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023.
She was born Oct. 14, 1959, in Euclid.
Gwen spent most of her life working in customer service and sales. In her later years, she worked at the Oak House helping women achieve long-term sobriety. This is what she enjoyed most and had helped many people throughout the years. If you knew Gwen, you know how much she loved shopping and Starbucks. She was so trendy and loved fashion. Her greatest pride and joy was her daughter, son-in-law and grandsons. Gwen was so proud of her grandsons and spoke of them every chance she got. She also enjoyed making her famous peanut butter balls and pizzelles for the boys and most of all, she just loved hanging out with her family.
Gwen had a heart of gold. Always willing to help anyone in need. Her beautiful contagious smile will truly be missed.
She was the loving mother of Tina (Chris); cherished grandmother of Michael, Nicholas, Anthony and Frankie; and many friends who were blessed to know her.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Adam M. and Myra Ann (nee Frye) Palaima.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
