Gary graduated from Riverside High School in 1956. He loved playing sports in high school and beyond during his younger years. He married his wife, Nora in 1964, and then went on to become a father and landlord while maintaining a job as a factory worker at the Chevy plant in Parma He enjoyed being outside and working in the yard, and family vacations. Gary loved romance and western movies, watching wheel of fortune with Nora, dancing and swimming. He was very hospitable and enjoyed hosting family and friends at his home.
A real sports fan, Gary enjoyed football, baseball, and basketball games. He was a longtime season ticket holder for the Cleveland Browns.
